Currently, my roommates and I are trying to prepare for the upcoming storm. We have about a million flashlights and are trying to come up with things to do in case we get trapped in our apartment without electricity. I need to be constantly entertained, so if you are anything like me, here are some fun ideas, for free, that you can do without power!
Adult Coloring Sheets
This website has a ton of really cool designs you can print out and color. It is a great way to kill some time, and you end up with some cute things to hang on your walls! I would recommend print these out now so you have these to be prepared in case the power does go out!
Read a Book
Here is a fabulous list of thirty books every girl in her twenties should read! Grab your Kindle and download these or run to library while it’s still open to have some great books to read instead of having to be stuck looking at your math textbook! (Sorry guys, I tried finding a list of books for you all to read too, but there wasn’t any!)
Build a Blanket Fort
Seriously, when was the last time you built a fort with all of your blankets and pillows and sheets? Probably when you were like eight, but they are SO much fun and comfy, I feel like we all need to bring blanket forts back. You get to relive your childhood, work on your architect skills and it can keep you entertained for hours. Don’t even try to deny that blanket forts are not awesome, because they are.
Break out the Board Games
Catch Phrase, Apples to Apples and Monopoly are all great games to have in case you lose power. These games can last for a long time, it lets you be competitive and keeps you from being bored.
In our busy lives as college students, we all are always so connected with our IPhones, Twitter and Facebook profiles, that we basically have our electronics attached to our hands. Losing electricity can b be a pain but lets you connect with your friends in a different way.
What do you like to do if you lose power? What’s your favorite board game?
