Every week, I’ll be letting you in one a few of my secrets on easy ways to have fun and pamper yourself without breaking the bank. This week is all about how to recreate your favorite caffeine filled drinks from Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts without having to spend $3 a cup! I am completely guilty of needing my daily coffee fix despite the empty wallet I’ve been carrying around lately. I’ve had to get a little creative with how I can get my caffeine without sacrificing the taste I love.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
The return of the chilly fall season also means the return of Starbucks’ famous Pumpkin Spice Latte. It is a delicious combination of pumpkin and coffee, but at $3 for a small serving, this drink can really add up if you get one every day. Here is a spot-on recipe that you can make at home to replicate it! It saves you a trip to Starbucks and tastes just as yummy.
Mocha Frappuccino
My absolute weakness is anything mocha flavored. Chocolate and coffee is just an unbeatable combination for when I need my coffee. On a hot day, a mocha Frappuccino really hits the spot. It’s blended with ice and tastes more like a milkshake than coffee. It is super simple to duplicate at home without the $4 coffee shop price tag.
Dunkin Donuts- Brew it at Home
Since we live in New England, it is impossible to go more than 100 feet without seeing a Dunkin Donuts on the side of the road, which makes it impossible to avoid when you really need a pick-me-up. Thankfully, Dunkin Donuts sells their coffee by the pound or in K-cups so you can make your own cup of java from your very own kitchen! That is definitely a way to save your pennies and still get your beloved coffee.
Have you found any recipes to recreate your favorite drinks? What is your go to coffee drink when you need a caffeine boost?
